Really Cute Dresses for Summer that YOU Can Make Too!
Hey Guys!
Sorry things have been slow. I've really been tied up with end of school and work. Plus, I've rediscovered sewing, and am in love!
I want to share with you a few of my favorite dresses I have made thus far from one of my favorite pattern companies today; CKC Patterns!
First off, we have the Sheena! This was my first dress ever to sew in about 21 years or so. What I love about this dress is that it has many options for the design! There is a solid or color blocking option, multiple or single skirts, and even different cutout designs for the back! Mine is a simple button up design.
Next, we have the Lillian! This one is one of my favorites. I just love the color combo of blues that I did with this one! This dress was a favorite for school because it just slips over the head, no buttons or zippers needed!
Here comes the Beyonce! This one is a knit dress, so it's a completely different ballpark of sewing. This one is a kid favorite with the bows not only on both sleeves, but also a bow design on the back! My girl wore this one to school every chance she got, it is so comfy!
My next one is by far the most complicated one I have made to date, the Rosalyn! From the ties on the shoulders, to the elastic ruching on the sides, this dress does not leave out any details. I love the high low skirt on this one, also! My daughter loves the twirl factor in this dress!
All of these patterns and tons more can be found over at CKC Patterns! They have anything from newborn babies clothing and girls, to womens and mens as well!
In the end, if you are looking for 1001 different ways to make dresses for your children, this is my pattern company go to!
Next time, I will share some leotards and dancewear makes I have finished. Shh! There are some patterns that are adult sized too! (Not adult themed, wrong site for that!)
